About

I have over thirty years’ experience helping organisations and individuals to improve performance and manage careers. Initially I worked with Coopers and Lybrand Management Consulting in London helping financial services organisations to develop their senior management and improve organisation design and culture. I then moved back to Scotland where I worked for KPMG, eventually leading their Scottish career consulting practice. As my family started to grow, I worked on a self-employed basis for Penna Consulting specialising in the management and development of careers both within organisations and with individuals who had been made redundant. I also wrote the section on leading thinking and techniques in career management for Good Practice, the online consultancy.

I set up Raeburn Career Coaching in 2011 to help people at a point of career transition to be clearer about their career aims and to plan how to achieve these, and to help organisations support the career development of their employees and to improve senior team effectiveness.

I am a member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development and a member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council.

In 2023, I decided to take my own advice in trying a new direction so trained as a Humanist Celebrant with Humanist Society Scotland. So when I am not coaching, I conduct weddings, civil partnerships, vow renewals, naming and welcoming ceremonies and funerals.
